My name is William Andrew Davis. I am the only surviving son of my father, Jarvis Dorsey Davis.

My father was born 04 Jul 1923 in Daisetta (or Wells) Texas to Andrew Gaylon Davis and Mabel Creola O' Quinn.
My father passed away 02 Aug 1988 in Arlington, Tarrant, TX.

Sometime during the 1930s, my father's parents moved to Midland, TX. Grandpa Davis made a successful living as a carpenter and making cabinets and furniture for the oil barons of Midland, TX.

My father was drafted during WW2 and spent 3 years in the Pacific Theater as an Aviation Metalsmith based in Honolulu. (My dad kept those old Catalina PBYs flying)

After the war, my Dad came back to Midland and in 1949 or 1950 married my mother- Patsy Eudora *********. (My mother was previously married to a man whose last name was Fluornoy and she bore him a son named Donathon.)

My parents divorced when I was 3 and when I was 8 my Dad remarried a woman named Syble Elvina Roberts (nee Whitmire). My stepmother passed away in 1995.

My birth parents had a bitter divorce and my Dad gained custody of me. As a consequence, I know next to nothing about my roots on my mother's side. I am especially anxious to find out any information about my maternal grandmother, Kathryn Logsdon. Kathryn died in Midland, TX sometime during the 60s.
