Bartholomew County Indiana Davis'

I am doing reseach on my Davis line from Bartholomew County Indiana. I am hoping that someone will be able to help as I am stuck. My ancestor Jesse Davis was married twice. The first time to Ruhama Vickery and had children named Healey, Charity and John. Then he married my great x4 granmother Mary Ann Jones and had more children. I am looking for Jesse' parents. I know that he was born in North Carolina abt 1817, but have no clue who his parents are. I think that they may be John and Phebe, but have not proof. There is also a Ransom Davis, but I don't think that he is the father. Can someone help me?
