Archibald Davisson is my 3rd Great Grandfather and by checking what information that can be found He left Ireland around 1799 since the rebellion of 1798 was failing and went to England and hid on a ship to America. In England he changed his name from Davisson to Burris and when he married Mary Holbert he took the maiden name of her mother Jane (Burrows) Holbert. Do you have any other information on Archibald?
