Alice perhaps i was a bit hard on you but yes the 20 which should of course be 12 was a typing error by the people who put the book on the net. As for research yes I have certificates and letters and other things margaret gave to Elizabeth after John's death. Look the knowledge of what John himself did to break up this part of the family would do him no good. It took from1857 until the beginning of 1869 to heal the wounds. Both Humphry and John had all the Davy bullheadedness. If you want more you know what to do. My cousin has just said I'm a softy to contact you again, but at 72 I can be generous. Incidently all the facts in my books can be proved not from one source but several. After all as a Ph.D I do know! That book was not written as a research tool.Margaret
