Here I'll add that the DNA project is still looking for participants to represent the Devon DAW(E) families, and that the Newfoundland ones have two matching representatives now.

There must be some Devonshire DAWE descendants of these two particular branches that are interested in their ancestry and would like to help the rest of us out to see if there's any relationship?
a) Sampson DAWE (farmers around Buckland Monachorum)
b) Isaac DAWE (millers initally around Lumborn and Lammerton)
All you have to be is a DAWE or DAW surnamed male able to click on the Join project link at

do some reading and order the test.
Think how you'd be advancing the cause of accurate genealogy!
