The Sampson DAWEs

Posted: 26 Oct 2012 12:23AM GMT
Classification: Query
Surnames: DAWE, CARWITHEN, TOLL, HAWKINS
Has anyone any information on any of the following three Sampson DAWEs?
They surely fit somewhere in the Buckland Monachorum DAWE tree documented on the Patriarchs page of the DAWE Surname DNA project
http://worldfamilies.net/surnames/dawe/pats

1) The Sampson having children with a Mary at Buckland Monachorum in the 1780s.
He is possibly the one marrying Mary TOLL at Bere Ferrers in 1780.

2) The Sampson marrying Hannah CARWITHEN at Buckland Monachorum in 1810, children born 1811 thru 1828, mostly at Netherton, Buckland Monachorum, the 3 youngest all dying Plymouth in 1829 and buried at Buckland Monachorum.
No sign of Sampson or Hannah in Buckland Monachorum burials that I can spot.
Sons Sampson and Philip both look to be the ones in St Helier, Jersey in 1841, Philip moving Cornwall by 1851 but Sampson remaining.
Descendants in Washington State, and New Jersey with some hints of Australia as well.

3) The Sampson marrying Grace Freeman HAWKINS.
This one is documented as a tanner, same occupation as the earlier two Sampsons on the Buckland Monachorum tree.
