I realise your message about Thomas Demaid is old and I assume you've discovered a bit more about him in the meantime

If not, drop me a line, as I suspect he was a brother to my Grandfather, William Demaid, whose father was John Demaid, who was from Hele in Devon (Nr Ilfracombe). The family, as far as I can make out, went to Canada at some point, before returning to South Wales, where my father, Wm Demaid was born.

If you have found any info on Mary Edna's parents, we would greatly appreciate it. Our mother was a daughter of Mary Edna Daymude Bennett. Her name was Norma born 1921. We believe Mary Edna died in 1928. We think her father was henry Daymude and her mother was ....Lewis (maiden name).

Friend is searching for siblings. His birth father is Walter Elroy Daymude (April 2, 1943 - April 6, 1996). Walter possibly born in the State of Maryland. Lived in Oklahoma City, OK during the 1980's and relocated to the State of Florida in the mid 1990's.

Possible siblings are Christopher Ryan Daymude, Amanda Daymude, Sarah Juanita Daymude, and Walter Elroy Daymude, Jr.

My friend was adopted as an infant in Oklahoma.

James Louis Daymude was born September 14, 1832 in Knox Co. Ohio. He married Julia Ludlow Joy July 22, 1863 in Muscatine, IA, daughter of William Joy and Marion Ingersoll. She was born July 22, 1844 in East Evans, Erie, NY, and died December 4, 1886 in Davenport, IA.

Children of James Daymude and Julia Joy are:
i. Lee Carl Daymude, born 1865 in Davenport, IA.
ii. Charles Edward Daymude, born 1867 in Davenport, IA; died in Seattle, Washington. He married Elizabeth.
iii. William H. Daymude, born 1869 in Davenport, IA. He married Dot.
iv. Ethel Daymude, born 1872 in Davenport, IA; died in Roxbury, MA.
v. Vida M. Daymude, born 1877 in Davenport, IA; died in Roxbury, MA.

They were all living in Davenport, IA according to the 1880 census:

I heard my great grandfather lived where dulles airport property is. I have visited graves in Herndon VA.There's about 13 Daymudes where relocated their from that property.My great grandfather,grandfather,father are buried in Leesburg VA.

I am looking for information on my daymude relatives..my dad's grandparents were Fred and Miriam petersen daymude.his vitals are 1874-1950..not sure if fred is the right name...they always called him uncle fred...but i was told john fredrick..they were living in des moines iowa when they passed away. they are buried here in iowa. they were farmers and owned quit a bit of ground.

I have traced my Daymude line to the late 1700's, i was told by a Daymude relative that the name's origin was from the French Hueganots.
My Daymude's are based in the Fauquier, Loudon, Fairfax, and Prince Wm. Counties of Virginia.
Any help would be appreciated.

William DAYMUDE son b. 1898. Va These were 2 of Edwards children.
Annie's brother George died of typhoid in 1894, along with 3 other siblings. I know that he went with his uncle William ( my gggrandfather) over to Centerville in 1861 to vote for seccession. They were living in Fauquier at the time. My great grandfather Arthur was living with Alfred and his family in 1870 in Loudon.
Will send you what I have, after searching through my records.
Would appreciate any information you can offer also.

I have recently found more information but I am still in need of help.
They all were in or around the Hagerstown Maryland area though not
necessary born there.

I have a William Daymude (Sep 16, 1832-April 16, 1902) whose wife was
Emily E. Mills (July 9, 1840-April 5, 1903). There children were as
follows:
James H Daymude (August 1866-March 19, 1951)
married Ella

Anna Elizabeth Daymude(Jan 29, 1873-Dec 15, 1922)
married William Burger

Mary Lee Daymude (abt. 1878-June 13, 1954)
married John E. Zombro

John R. Daymude (abt. 1878-Before 1951)
married Maggie

There may be more children but I haven't found them.
An obituary for William listed an Arthur P. Daymude
but Emily's Obituary didn't list him but listed a
William instead.

Any one with any leads I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks for the message. I would like to have what information you might have on Annie's siblings. I also found out that several of her brothers and sisters died of typhoid. She had kept a list of all her brothers and sisters and the year they were born and when they died. She also had clipped the death notices from the newspapers. Her father was Arthur Thomas DAYMUDE, b:1856
Fairfax, Co.
Her mother was Emma Malvina Powel,B: in Stafford Co. Va.
Arthur's Parent's were William H. DAYMUDE, and mother was Sarah.
Believe his father had a brother named Alfred, who was married to Julia Wiley.
They lived in Loudon Co. during the 1860' 70's. Migrated to Alexandria. There are 11 of them buried in one Cemetary there.
