Dear Lorraine,
I have researched my tree and the name of DEYES in Hull and Beverley and leeds all Yorkshire.
I recently found that the name gets loosened in some instances and gets either spoken and recorded as DAYES instead. In some cases the DEYES person is baptised as such and then gets married as DAYES. I have various forms of the surname and am sure that they are all the same DEYES family.
If you are still subscribed and reply I will endeavour to continue and try to describe actual instances...
Kind regards
Brenda DEYES
