My research also supports the last discussion. I am also finding suggestions that there is a problem with the Zumwalt/Dazey line with deafness. Lee Ellison Dazey was Deaf. On the 1840 census, Leah Zumwalt reports that 2 persons over the age of 20 are Deaf/Dumb (not able to speak). This hearing issue continued down the Dazey tree for another generation after that. Also pictures of the Dazey grandchildren LEE/GRACE/RUTH suggest that one of the line had some american native genes. I have photos of Samuel/Frank/Anna Dazey along with the 3 children listed above. The Zumwalts were reported to intermingle with the native americans in their early years, giving them american names and not claiming them as indians during census. This last part was reported in another blog, I cannot support it one way or the other
