MUSCATINE, Iowa - Joaquin De Alejandro, 74, of Muscatine, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2000, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City.
Graveside services will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. John Gallagher will officiate.
Visitation will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home.
Joaquin De Alejandro was born July 25, 1926, at Tampico, Mexico. He lived in Texas until April of this year, when he moved to Muscatine.
Survivors include his wife Guadalupe Martinez of Wapello; three sons, Raul De Alejandro and his wife, Margarita, of Wapello, Jose Luis De Alejandro of Pennsylvania and Joaquin De Alejandro of Texas; a daughter, Alicia Castillo and her husband, Ramiro, of Muscatine; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lilia De Alejandro of Mexico.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Maria De Alejandro and one son, Ricardo De Alejandro.
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Maria Martinez De Alejarndro, 77, of Muscatine, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Casketbearers will be Ricardo Castillo, Ramiro Castillo Jr., Jose M. Martinez Jr., Joe Salinas, Ricardo Trevino and Julio Quiroz
Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. De Alejarndro was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Donna, Texas, the daughter of Guadalupe and Juanita (Hernandez) Martinez.
She married Joaquin De Alejandro in Mexico.
She was a homemaker, liked to crotchet and loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by a daughter, Alicia Castillo and husband, Ramiro, of Muscatine; three sons, Raul De Alejandro of Des Moines, Jose Luis De Alejandro of Moline and Joaquin De Alejandro of Texas; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Tomacita Lerma of Donna Texas; a brother, Luis Martinez of Michigan; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two children and a brother.
