My research on the DeCourcy family only goes back to Andrew Courcy. He was the father of my gr-gr-grandfather, Patrick (De)Courcy b. about 1849. Patrick m.Mary Chambers, dau. of John Chambers in 1873 in Ballinhassig, Co. Cork. They moved to Bandon where they had 9 children, James,Alice,Catherine Mary,John,Mary,Patrick,Daniel,Stephen,and Margaret.
I do know that many in this family while they lived in Bandon,Co.Cork, either worked for the railroad or the postal service
