Maria Deakin was my great, great grandmother. She was born in Ireland around 1856. Her mother's name is Catherine Deakin and Maria possibly had a brother called William Philip Deakin. She married a John Mills in Salford in 1876, but no name was put down for her father on the marriage certificate, so am assuming she was born out of wedlock.
