Classification: Query
Surnames: Deakin, Gardiner, Martin
My ancestor, Emma Gardiner Martin, was enumerated in the 1841 Cheshire census with Thomas Deakin and wife Lydia, both age 35. Emma Martin, wife of Robert Martin, has Sarah Ann, age 2 and David age 4 months, with her. One researcher, submitter of the W.S.Delaney tree, has Lydia's surname as Martin. I need to contact this researcher to find out if Lydia Martin is sister-in-law to Emma Gardiner Martin and to obtain other information. Emma Gardiner was b in Redbrook, Newland Parish, Gloucestershire about 1809, daughter of James Gardiner and Sarah James. She married Robert Martin, b. 1803 on the Isle of Man, son of David Martin and unknown spouse. Robert Martin, father David Martin, and Robert and Emma's son, James, were enumerated in Liverpool, Lancashire, in 1841. The submitter of the W. S. Delaney tree has no contact information on ancestry (that I can find)and lives in Lakeland, FL. Would be very grateful to hear from him/her and anyone else researching these names. Thank you. smith_shirley_ross at juno.com
