I am seeking information about my G, G Grandfather David DEAKIN. The infromation I have came from my G Aunt.
David Deakin Born Feb. 21, 1831 County of Derby, Eng. Deid 1900 Pitts., PA. He came to USA by sailing vessel in 1852 to N. Y. He had 2 sisters Fanie and Sarah. One brother name unknown went to Australia and had a horse ranch. He moved to the Pittsburg. P.A. in 1855. Some relatives were the Winfields who were pottery makers (on Monongahela River). He marries a Mary Ann JONES born Oct. 28, 1831 in County of Hereford, Eng. Died on June 19, 1945 in Pitts., PA. She arrived from Blenaven, Eng. via steamship in 1852. From a family of coal miners.
David and Mary had nine children. 1. George Bolton DEAKIN born May 12, 1856 2. Sarah Ann DEAKIN born Aug. 31, 1857 3. Anna Maria DEAKIN born Feb. 14, 1859 4. Thomas Francis DEAKIN born Sept. 4, 1860 5. Joun Butler DEAKIN born June 1, 1863 6. Harvey Richmond DEAKIN born March 8, 1864/1867 7. David DEAKIN Jr. born Feb. 12, 1870 and 9. Carrie B. DEAKIN born Oct. 25, 1872. Any help would be most welcome. I will be happy to share the rest of the information that I have even though I have not checked it out with any records yet.
