Catherine Dart, who is a Robie, has a son and grandson (Benjamin Robie Broyles) (Clint Robie Broyles) coming to visit this summer, to MA from CA. Her grandfather did an amazing amount of work on the Robie family, pre-internet.He didn't have the book
mentioned in the citation following. He had photos of the town in England where Robies came from, Castle Donington.

The Stearns' HISTORY OF PLYMOUTH, NH, tells of the "silver fitted sword and silver headed cane" given in the early 1700's from Icahabod Robie to his son John. "With his wife, his sword, and his cane he removed to Chester. The sword was at Bennington, in the hand of Stephen Dearborn, who married his daughter." p. 570

The following came from the Robie Message page and involves Dearborns today:

>Posted by: Janet Hooke
>Message: In the book Robey/Roby/Robie by William Grafton Robey Jr. The
>sword
>and cane were in the possesion of Hendrick Dearborn , Auburn N.H. in 1955.
>The sword and cane were given to Stephen Dearborn by his father-in-law John
>Robie. Hope this helps. Janet Robie Hooke
>
If anyone can help Catherine know where to take her son and grandson to see the Robie-Dearborn sword and cane this summer, please write to: dartcat@hotmail.com also: chonglyn@coopresources. net

Thank you.
