Hello All, I'm a beginner at this, so please forgive me if I am asking for information someone has already given. I believe I am a descendent of Thomas Deaton of England>Capt. Wm. Deaton>John D. Deaton>John "Buck" Deaton>Alexander Deaton>Thomas R. Deaton (Depot Tom)?>John Wickliffe Deaton>George Burton Deaton (my father). Would anyone have further information about these men and/or their wives?
I have so far been unable to locate any information about my grandmother, married to John Wickliffe Deaton. I only knew her as Susie Haddix. As both my parents and grandparents are deceased, I don't know if Susie was her given name or a nickname. I just remember visiting them as a child and all the businesses in Haddix, Kentucky were all named Deaton Hardware, etc. or Haddix Gas Station, etc. Sorry to go on so long, but this is just fascinating to me. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
