Hello to all! I have been researching our family history and have hit a dead end. My great-great-great-great-grandfather, George Pendleton or George Mayburn Deaton. From the information that I have (which may or may not be correct) he was born in 1836 in North Carolina and died abt 1917 in Missouri. He fought in the Civil War. His wife's name was Dianna (cannot find her maiden name) she also went by Fannie. His son James E Deaton (1863-1943) was the father of Emery(Emry)Deaton (1890-1960) who was the father of James Richard Deaton (1925-2005) who was my grandfather. If anyone has any information of George P./Pendleton M. or his wife Dianna, I would greatly appreciate anything... even if it is just a story that I might extract facts from. In turn, I am willing to share any information that I have as well. Thanks in advance!
