      <description>Friday, August 20, 2004  The Halifax Herald Limited &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;--------------------------------------------------------------------------------&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;DeBAIE, Alfred Junior - 73, passed away on August 18, 2004. From DeBaie's Cove, he was a son of the late Leroy and Laura (Murphy) DeBaie. He is survived by sons, Carl (Marion) DeBaie, Dartmouth; Dale (Jane) DeBaie, Gaetz Brook; daughters, Barbara (John) Baker, Kingston; Darlene (John) Kerfont, Newfoundland; Sherry Taylor (David Akerley), West Chezzetcook; Shelley (Stephen) Tancock, Eastern Passage; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris McGraw, Lillian Godding; long-time friend, Shirley Osborne. He was predeceased by his wife, Ellen (Osborne); brothers, Donald and Earl. Alfred was employed by Roy Dooks and Bell Busses for 26 years and the City of Dartmouth for two years. He was an accomplished carpenter as well as a full-time fisherman. Alfred was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to fish and hunt. His love of music was greatest when he was playing his guitar for family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Ocean View Manor for their loving care for the final four years he resided there. Visitation will be held today in Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in Rowlings Funeral Home Saturday, August 21, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow the service in St. Matthew's Anglican Church Cemetery, Owls Head, Halifax Co. Reception to follow interment in Head Chezzetcook Fire Hall, Highway 7. Donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. He will be missed and loved by all.
