In my research I found DeBoard's still living in So France, especially near Lyon,,I also had a record of a Nicole de Borde in the Bourbon royal Lineage living in the Palace and gave birth to a son Nicholas de Borde, Nicole was not a princess but, she lived there and left; to go to another location to live and have her son, it is recorded in th Royal records..Plus the de Boardes have a Fleur de Lis on their Coate of arms, which is a symbol of Royalty
were granted noble status by the Emperor of Austria. They were now permitted to prefix the name with von or de.
The Board name is in Sussex England prior to 1066 and of a head family in the area; per the Coate of Arms..So that is where I am in my research
