I am not a descendant of this family, but am a student of all the Clayton families of Chesterfield Co VA. One of them Lucy Clayton married john Fuqua and one of their granddaughters Ida Virginia Fuqua 1856-1953 married Archibald Murphy “Archie” DeBow 1844-1911. Other on-line Trees have listed some of the descendants of Archibald McCaddin Debow, but most seem to list only information that appears to have come from some single DeBow Family Bible and without sourcing.

These families lived mostly in Smith, Sumner, Trousdale and Obion Co's of TN and Fulton Co KY with the recent generations in many other places.
