Hello!

I was working on my family tree from my Mom's Mom's side of the family (DeBuhr) and while searching the many census pages I came across this..

http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=1910USCenIndex...

There is two Alberts listed, a head of house and a son. I believe the head of house to be my great great grandfather and his son Henry (listed Harry) to be my great grandfather. The son named Albert might be your grandfather.

Hope this helps!

deBuhr and Bosma connection

Hello,
I am fairly new to ancestry.com and saw your post from 2001 regarding the reunion in Calumet County Park Wisconsin for descendents of John DeBuhr. My maiden name was Bosma, and I think my great grandfater either had a sister or a cousin who married Tonjes DeBuhr. My grandfather was Johanna Bosma and is buried in the New Holstein Cemetery. He is also related to Dirk Bosma, but I can't make the pieces fit to determine if they are cousins or brothers. I was in New Holstein two weeks ago, and if you ever have another reunion, and we do find we are related, I would absolutely love to attend and meet some of the DeBuhr clan.
thanks,
Joan Bosma Gardner
joan.gardner@coopertsmith.com

There must be well over 300 plus of us DeBuhrs and no one seems to know anything about us. I am looking into my background and have found that my great grandfather Frederick Fokker DeBuhr came over at 17 years old with his father in 1896. His father went back to Germany and left him here. I have all the background from then but have totally drawn a blank with the family in Germany. Anyone have any idea on how I can follow up in Germany? We are from the Alsace/Lorraine area. I can't believe it ends here. Thanks for any help Bonnie murrayabm@aol.com
