WILLIAM H. DECATUR
WESTFORD—William Henry Decatur, a resident of this town,
Lowell, Chelmsford and Littleton for the past 86 years, died Saturday
at the Delaney private hospital, Lowell, following a brief illness. He
was the son of John Henry and Hannah (Abbott) Decatur and was
born in Barrington, N. H., May 6, 1859.
During his residence in Littleton, Westford, and Chelmsford, Mr.
Decatur attended the Methodist church and for several years had been
an attendant of the Seventh Day Adventist church in Lowell. He leaves
two daughters, Mrs. Edward G. Brotz, and Mrs. Ernest D. Peck of
Chelmsford; a son, Joseph H. Decatur of Wayland; five nieces, six
nephews, 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
