Henry 4161 DECKARD was born on 28 May 1854 in Lawrence County, Ind.1,7 He died on 16 Jun 1937.4 Obituary: Henry Deckad, 73 years of age, retired farmer, died at his home at Harrodsburg at 3:40 p. m. Wednesday. Death resulted from complications peculiar to advance age. He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Srilda Deckard; one daugher, Mrs Lindsey Kelley, of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Mrs. George Watson of Guthrie and Mrs. Mary Ann Norma Nelson of Norman; four grandchildren and nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Mr. Deckard was born May 23, 1854 and was the son of William and Mary DECKARD deceased. He was a farmer until advancing age caused him to retire. Funeral services to be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Valley Mission church, near Guthrie. The services will be in charge of the Rev. Elmer Norman and the Rev. Ellis Briggs. Burial will be in the Hanson Cemetery and pallbears will be Virgil Arney, Silas PATTON, Arthur Hearn, John Watson, Ben Turner and Willie COVEY, nephews of Mr. Deckard. Flower bearers are Mrs. Stella COVEY, Mrs. Helen McGlothin, Mrs. Gretchen Watson and Mrs. Winnie Kelley, nieces. The body will lie in state at the home in Harrodsburg until the hour of the funeral.
