Sarah Dede was bapt 28/8/1822 at St Botolph Bishopsgate one
of 6 children born to James Dede & Elizabeth Small who married at the same church on 8/6/1811. The other children were Mary ann 1814, Amelia 1816, Sophia 1818, James 1822 & Emma 1825. All info from the IGI.

I have a ggg grandmother Elizabeth Dede who was born in 1761 and christened at St matthews Bethnal Green. Her parents were James and Elizabeth Dede. She married James Senechaud, also of Huegenot decent, at St leonards in Shoreditch in 1783. When he died she remarried an Isaac Benson.

Linda thank you for your post. Elizabeth Dede's first husband was James Senechaud. She married him on 24th March 1783 at St Leonards Shoreditch. One of the witnesses at the marriage was a Jacques Senechaud. She married her second husband, my ggg grandfather Isaac Benson in 1789.

I know this is an old thread, but I have a James (Jaques) Senechaud born 1739 London parents Jaques Senechaud and Jeanne Roulet. Do you know if there is a connection to your Elizabeth Dede? Hope to hear back from you.

This is a very old thread, so not sure if you'll see this. I have an Amelia Dede who married my ggg grandfather, Robert Jarman, in 1804 at St Peter in the Tower, London. I believe that James Dede who was the father of your Sarah was Amelia's brother. Their father was Pierre Dede. They were from the French Huguenot community living in Spitalfields, London. Please contact me if you have other info.
