Still looking for family of Stephen Deeds (Duds) of Westfield NJ

I was contacted a long time ago and someone mentioned that this Stephen could be the son of George Deeds and Phebe Ball. From 1811-1840 I find Stephen Deeds in Westfield NJ, but I have no other info on him. I think he would be born near 1780 and died sometime after 1840. I think that he has a daughter named Mary b 1809 and died 1900 who is also listed as "Mary Duds". She married Andrew Cadmus. I would appreciate any info on Stephen Deeds of George Deeds and Phebe Ball. Thanks!

My great grandfather was a Jacob Deeds b. 26 Feb 1793, d.2 Jan 1856 in Jo Daviess County, IL. His children were: Phillip, Thomas, John, Joseph, Martha, Caroline, Polly, Nancy and Peggy. The only spouse name I have found is "Sina" (no maiden name). She was about the same age as Jacob. I am trying to find out where Jacob was born and if perhaps he was an immigrant or the son of an immigrant.

Family of Wesley Deeds from Pennsylvania

I am researching a Deeds family that lived in Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. Wesley Deeds was born in Pennsylvania abt. 1832. I do not have any other information in Pennsylvania other than an approximate year of birth and his name. He eventually moved West to Indiana, and then California. If you have any ideas for family history sites that might help it would be truly appreciated.

Thank you, Marilyn B

Can't find Joseph and Mary Deeds in the 1880 Census

I have looked through the entire Jumping Branch census in 1880 for my great grandparents Joseph Robert Deeds b. 1855 and Mary Elizabeth Meador Deeds. He is listed in My Division, Mercer Co. in the 1860 census and Jumping Branch, Mercer Co. 1870 Census. Mary's family lives next door to Joseph's parents in the 1870 census. They were married in 1878 in Summers Co.

Joseph is listed as a widower in District 129, Jumping Branch, Summers Co., in 1900. Mary died in childbirth January of 1900. I am almost positive that they should be in the 1880 census but haven't been able to locate them anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas to help with location in the 1880 census?

Looking for information on the Deeds family from rocjingham, VA.
Irvin or Ervin Deeds was born 16 Sept 1904 or 1906 in rockingham, VA. His parents might have been Omus G. and Izola Deeds but I'm not positive. According to my husbands family Irvin's name was Jack Erwin Deeds but I've found nothing so far that says Jack. He married Agnes Marie/Marie Norris and by 1930 had children Elizabeth and Robert. They were living in Baltimore, MD on the 1930 census. Irvin died 14 July 1973 in Baltimore. On the SSDI he is listed as Ervin Deeds. On 1930 census he is Irvin Deeds.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

DEEDS family in Coshocton and Holmes Counties

I am trying to sort out my DEEDS family ancestry in the
Coshocton and Holmes counties area.

On the 1820 census, there were two Deeds families living in German township, Coshocton County (Jacob and John).

On the 1830 census, there were eight families living in German township, Holmes County (Adam, Daniel, Henry, Jacob, John, another Henry, another Jacob, and Abraham.) There was also an Adam Deeds living in Keene township, Coshocton County.

On the 1840 census, there were 5 families living in Coshocton county in several townships (Jacob in Crawford, Abraham in Keen, Joseph in Lewisville, Adam and John J in White Eyes.) There were no Deeds families listed in Holmes county.

On the 1850 census, only George Deeds lived in Holmes County (Mechanic township) and there were 9 Deeds families living in Coshocton County (John, John J, Soloman all living in Adams township; Daniel, another John, and Robert living in Oxford township; Adam, Jacob, and Samuel living in White Eyes township.)

I am descended from the John & John J Deeds living in Adams township, Coshocton County, in 1850. They moved to Mercer County, Illinois about 1856.

I hope someone out there has access to information about all of these Deeds families to help me understand John Jacob Deeds' parentage and wife's maiden name. John Jacob Deeds was born about 1800 in Pennsylvania and his wife Elizabeth was born there too.

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Amy
I'm looking for info on the Deeds surname, specificaly Jasper Newton Deeds from Iowa. He married Hannah Ellen Blackburn around 1875 and they eventualy moved to Wilson county Kansas. I do not know when Jasper was born but know that he died on Oct 22, 1921 in Coopertown, Kansas. Hannah died in May of 1938 in Coopertown, Kansas. I only know that Jasper may have been born in Iowa and Hanah was born in Illinois. My info says that she was born in Tahoka Illinois, but, I can not find any existence of that town in Illinois. Any info on Jasper's parents or Hannah's, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Brian
He also had a sister named Betty Deeds(Aegerter). It would mean a lot if we could find him. Or what ever happened to him. He disappeared in the 1940's I think.
