I know my James Lake and Eliza Ann Dean family info is correct with marriage and death records of their children. I think that the James Lake of 1812 was a son of John Lake and Elizabeth Sherrard. It would therefore make him the brother in law of William Ashley and Jeptha Bradshaw that were witnesses to my Isaac Dean's will. Permillia and Phoebe Lake would have been his sisters. My Isaac Dean left money in his will to Isaac Lake, his grandson (parents were Eliza Ann Dean and James Lake of 1812) and John Dean Bradshaw ( son of Phoebe Lake and Jeptha Bradshaw). We do not understand why money was left to just these two boys of the younger generation. Isaac Lake died young of TB and John Dean Bradshaw relocated to the United States. Isaac Dean's will is in the Ontario Archives under Isaac Deen.
