Elizabeth Dean that responded to your posting is my sister. James Lake that married Eliza Ann Dean was a brother of the John Lake that married Elizabeth Sherrard. John Lake and Elizabeth Sherrard had Phoebe Lake who married Jeptha Bradshaw and Permillia Lake who married William Ashley. Jeptha Bradshaw and William Ashley were executors to the estate of Isaac Dean that died 1853 in Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario. So, our families were very close. The parents of John Lake that married Elizabeth Sherrard(daughter of William Sherrard UE) and James Lake were Nicholas Lake born 1755 in Somerset New Jersey and died 1818 in Sidney Township, Hastings County, Ontario. His wife was a Mary Johnson(Johnson name anglicized form Janzen or maybe Janszen and her parents are listed on sites as Hendrick Janzen and Mary Mynderts.
