Nanette,
You clearly know much more about my family than I ... I never met any of my grandmother's siblings and hardly every heard her or my mother speak of family. My grandfather, Bernard, died when I was quite young and my grandmother pretty much made her daughters and their families her world. For instance, if there were ever any family reunions, I'm sure you never saw Elizabeth. She stayed in Chicago, except for annual train trips to Disneyland and Houston with Bernard and the grandchildren (which stopped when Bernard died).
I knew of a sister who was, I believe, a cloistered nun in Germany. My mother and aunts traveled to Germany a couple of times and visited with family, including a park ranger who made his own pear brandy and had no indoor plumbing, although I'm unsure of what his relation was to me.
The only thing I can do, except to extract information from you, is to tell you a little about Elizabeth's life, her children and grandchildren. I am fortunate to possess a lot of old photographs, as well as letters complete with artwork from the hand of Elizabeth's sister, and I have attached a few JPEGs, from those that I have scanned, for you to enjoy.
I would have emailed you directly, but I'm not sure how this whole message board thing works and did not see an email address, or link to one, for you.
Thank you for responding to my message so quickly. If you would like to contact me directly, my work email is
