I am researching Peter and Cornelius DeGroot. They lived in Coeymans, New York and in Coxsackie and Athens, New York.
Cornelius was born in 1754 and married Marie Van Loon. Their children were Rachel and Albert and maybe more. Peter married Catherine Hallenbeck father Martin Hallenback. There children were Hannah, Staats, Marie, Rachel, Catherine,and Magdelene. Peter died in 1799 in Coeymans. Catherine remarried Jacob Van Loon. Cornelius records say his father was Staats or Cornelius. I find a record in 1776 of Staats witnessing a will. Does anyone know this family. Thank you
