Does anyone know the maiden name of Sophia who m. Horatio Gates Dehass in the mid-1840s? In 1850 they were living in Beach Creek, Clinton, Pa. In 1860 they were in Liberty.

Horatio died in the Civil War and was buried in the National Cemetery (spelled Dehass.) Their 2nd child was a male named James Alexander DeHaas, which makes me wonder if Alexander might be Sophia's maiden name.

Horatio and Sophia had seven children from 1847-1863. Sophia died in early 1900 in Williamsport.

Any guidance appreciated.
