My great grandmother 's name was Demetria Portalatin Deida, her father was from Islas Canarias. She was born in Puerto Rico, not sure what town, may be Camuy or Cayey. She had 3 children who last I heard lived in Catano, PR: Deogracia, Maria, and my grandmother Natividad Roman who died in early 1980's.
