Hi! I also have some Deightons from Yorkshire, but names dont seem to match yet. Mine are:

James Deighton - Born around 1845 in Houghton (Horton) Yorks

He married Mary Ann Prendergast in 1894. Mary was born in South Africa in 1864.

They had four children - Alice (Born 1900 and my great Grandmother)
Hellena (Born 1895)
Mary Ann (Born 1897)
William (1899)
