Diener, John, Principle Musician; mustered Nov 4, 1862; died of lung disease Mar 12, 1863; born @1828/29 in Germany; a tinsmith from Hanover, York County; 5' 8", dark hair, hazel eyes; married Anna M. ? September 28, 1851, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; children: Anna E. (b. 01/28/52), John A. (b. 06/28/56), Mary Louisa (b. 08/07/58), Catharine S. (b. 09/25/62); buried in Mt. Olivert Cemetery, Hanover, York County, Pennsylvania
