In this message board I can find a lot about the Deiss family in USA. Does somebody have a few information about the parents of the families who emigrated from Germany? I looked at my ancestry back to 1680 but unfortunately only in direct line, never found somebody who went to America. The very first Deiss I found out was Hans Heinrich Deust born in 1680 (names changes from Deust to Deihs and then to Deiß, special writing of Deiss). The family lives in that time (and one part of the Deiss family still do) in Neuenhof near Eisenach.
