Well, I guess we're cousins. John Dekalb was my great, great grandfather. He was married to Sarah Parmelia Cummings. They had ten children. He was born Aug. 4, 1818. I do have a note written in my Great Grandmother's hand, (their daughter Perpetua), that says his father was Christopher Dekalb and his mother was Mary Haynes. They were killed by indians. It's quite exciting to find another searching the same name. It's a first for me.
