My great grandfather, John DeKalb, was born in Chillocothe Ohio in about 1819 and later moved to Iowa. The 1880 Federal Census shows his parents were both born in MD. I do not know there names or any additonal information. Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to carry on in finding this linage? Thanks all.
