His father was John W. Delaney/Delany b 9 Nov 1822 Sinker Creek, Greene, TN. We believe his parents were Daniel Delany/Delaney & Elizabeth McGhee/McGee who married on 6 Dec 1821 Washington Co TN. If not his parents, then close kin.

His mother was Mary Williams Robinson, b 6 Jun 1824, Logan Co KY. Mary's father was Rev. Littleberry Robinson, b abt 1778 NC, d 1 Sep 1834 Logan Co KY-his grave is now under the parking lot of the Central Baptist Church, Russellville, Logan, KY. Some info about Littleberry can be found on the Logan Co KY website. Littleberry Robinson's father was Jacob Robinson of Stokes Co NC-he died in 1820-his will & some Robinson deeds can be found on the Stokes Co NC website.

Mary' mother was Cassandra Graham, b 7 Jun 1779/81 NC-she died about 1870 Greene Co MO-her parents were Thomas Graham & Cassandra ____? of NC & Logan Co KY.

John, Mary & Daniel Delany can be found on the 1850 Greene Co MO census, Boone Twp, dwl 1180 fam 1180, living next door to her mother, Cassander Robinson.

John, Mary, Daniel, May J (should be Mary J) & Calenda (should be Cassandra) are on the 1860 Placer Co CA census,Twp 2, pg 682 sheet 124, dwl 1507 fam 1463 lines 17-23-last name spelled Delong on Ancestry's index-but a correction has been added-John is listed as a saloon keeper.

Evidently John died sometime after the 1860 census & before the 1870 census. Mary, daughter, Mary Josephine-age 16 b CA,son Daniel & his wife Virginia H. (Jones) are on the 1870 Greene Co MO census, Cass Twp, dwl 40 fam 42-also in this household is Mary's mother, Cassander Robinson age 90.

Mary's daughter, Mary Josephine married Marshall Patrick Robberson on 8 Jun 1871 Greene Co MO, Bk C pg 356. Mary Josephine Delaney Robberson died 4 Aug 1940, Clovis,
Curry, NM. Marshall died 25 Feb 1888, Greene Co MO-buried in the Clear Creek Cemetery, Center Twp, Greene Co MO-buried next to his & Mary Josephine's daughters, Ida Bird & Lula A. Robberson.

Mary Robinson Delaney, widow of John W., is on the 1900 Greene Co MO census-Murray Twp-in the household of her daughter, Mary Josephine Robberson & her 5 sons-dwl 169 fam 169.

We believe Mary Robinson Delaney died about 1914 in Greene Co MO. We haven't found her listed in any of the books on
Cemeteries of Greene Co MO.

John Delaney's brother, William, married Cassander McKoin in Greene Co MO in 1851. This couple went to OR. They are buried in the Coburg IOOF cemetery, Lane Co OR. Their stone lists that William was a pioneer of 1843. Cassandria a pioneer of 1852.
