Census 1901...Michael Delaney/Delany 76 yrs (abt 1825) widowed farmer (Head of Family) at HOUSE #7 "Killadooly", Ballybrophy, Queen's Co.( Co.Laois/Liex/Laoighis) with "Farmer's son"-Edward Delaney 35 yrs (abt 1866) married, "wife"-Anne Delaney 38 yrs (abt 1863) daughter-in-law, Patrick Delaney 8 yrs (abt 1893) grandson. Ellen Delaney 6 yrs (abt 1895) grand-daughter, Kate Delaney 4 yrs (abt 1897) grand-daughter, Mary Delaney 3 yrs (abt 1898) grand-daughter, and Edward Delaney 1 years (abt 1900) old-grandson.
HOUSE #6 "Killadooly" Ballybrophy, Queen's Co. WITH JOSEPH DELANEY 34 years old (abt 1867), Head of Family, farmer, married...no wife listed BUT...SISTER-Ellen DELANEY 29 years old (abt 1872)...farmer's Sister, not married.
Michael's Second wife was named Ellen Delaney nee Haslam...she must haved died since having DAUGHTER named after her...Ellen (abt 1872) AND Joseph & Ellen Delaney must have been a son/daughter not FOUND yet with CIVIL BIRTH RECORDS...but living next to each other in 1901 Irish Census.
ALL are Roman Catholics baptized at "Borris in Ossory"...just need records of future marriages & births & deaths. Where was Ellen Delaney buried or date? must be after 1872...daughters birth.
