I am trying to find information about the family of GEORGE W. DELAVAN and his wife ELLA REEVES, dau. of JEREMIAH A. & DOROTHEA WARTH REEVES, of Oneida Co., NY. George W. Delavan is probably the son of Walter & Catherine Delavan who are listed in the 1880 Russia, Herkimer, NY census with their children: Preston K. age 22, Charles age 20, George W. age 19 and Edwin age 19. In the 1930 New York census, George W. and Ella Delavan are listed in Holland Patent, Trenton Twp, Oneida Co., NY as being age 69 and 61. Next door to them is Preston K. Delavan, age 72 and his wife Anna C., age 70. Possibly Ella was not George's first wife. Ella REEVES was b. abt. 1863 in Oneida Co., NY and died in May 1955. I have no date for George W. Delavan's death. Ella is buried in the Prospect Cemetery, Prospect, Oneida Co., NY. Ella REEVES Delavan was a niece of my gr.gr.grandmother, A. Catherine WARTH Conover, b. 1821 Glarus, Switzerland - d. 1905 Terre Haute, IN.
