Parents were Henry Wolfe DeLeon b. 1866 and Eva Flora Maude Kidd b. 1891. Two children Carmen Irene b 4/14/1892 and Dudley Claude b 3/01/1894 both of Jamaica

Henry was one of 11 children born to Joseph Rodriques DeLeon and Cordelia Melhado. Henry's Older brother Uriah George is my GG Granfather.

Henry Wolfe DeLeon was one of 11 children born to Joseph Rodrigues DeLeon. Henry's older brother was Uriah George and he is my GG Grandfather.

I will keep an eye out for those names. My G Grandparents through my GGG grandparents were born and raised in Jamaica. Some of our DeLeons (My G Grandmother) moved to New Orleans. If I come across anything I will let you know. Have you looked through Jamaicanfamilysearch.com website?

In loving memory, Dolores Hernandez DeLeon – mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, wife, sister, friend, neighbor but most of all the daughter of a king.

Born Feb. 1, 1930, in Taft, Texas, she went to be with the Lord at 8:20 p.m. Nov. 27, 2008.

Dolores moved to Moses Lake in 1966 and lived there until 1998 when she moved to Phoenix, Ariz., to be with her family.

She is preceded in death by her son, Julian Jr., and brother, Lupe Hernandez. She is survived by her husband, Julian P. DeLeon Sr.; sister, Viola Johnson; sister-in-law, Antonia Hernandez; her sons Pablo, David, Domingo and Leo DeLeon; daughters Susie, Yolanda, Elma, Olga, Rachel and Ruth; 51 grandchildren and 54 great-grandkids.

Dolores loved to spend time with family and friends, loved fruit – especially watermelon – loved gardening and houseplants and was dedicated to her family.

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Lauro G. DeLeon Jr., 20, of Floresville, Texas, died Sept. 8 in Balad, Iraq, when improvised explosive devices detonated near his convoy. DeLeon was assigned to the Army Reserve’s 644th Transportation Company, Beaumont, Texas.

The incident is under investigation.

Hi Barbara, I am a descendent of Uriah George who was Henry Wolfes older brother. I have been in contact with Denys in England. I am going to Jamaica in October to try and find out if Sarah Rodrigues Deleon was Joseph Rodrigues mother. William deLeon, 46, of El Cajon died Friday. He was born in Chicago and was a safety coordinator for University Mechanical & Engineering Contractors. Mr. deLeon served in the Navy. He was a community service volunteer.

Survivors include his wife, Maria; stepdaughter, Stephanie Arroyo of El Cajon; stepson, Jonathan Arroyo of El Cajon; mother, Angela Fuentes of Chicago; sisters, Angela Spadavecchia of Lombard, Ill., and Rose deLeon of Chicago; and brother, Salvador of Chicago.

Visitation: 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, on the beach in Tijuana. Follow the balloons on Avenida del Pacifico to Torre B, Playas de Tijuana.

Services: 3 p.m. Monday, with military honors, Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma.

Gathering: 4:30 p.m. Monday, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 405 Ballard St., El Cajon.

A scattering of ashes at sea by the Navy is planned.

Donations: to the family.

Arrangements: Balboa Cremation Services.

Eufilia Navarro DeLeon died in Woodland Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004 at age 67.

Mrs. DeLeon was born Sept. 3, 1937 in El Paso, Texas and had been a Yolo County resident for 16 years. She was a graduate of Mt. Sac College in Walnut receiving an associate degree and worked within social services for three years.

Survivors include Mrs. DeLeon's daughter, Margarita Garcia and her husband Marco of Woodland, her son Jesse DeLeon of Sacramento, sister Guadalupe Zaragoza of Pomona, two granddaughters Angela Vidales and Marlyn Echavarria, five great-grandchildren Angel Garcia, Raymond Echavarria Jr., Alexys Martinez, Cristian and Damien Vidales.

Services: A vigil service is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 301 Walnut St., Woodland. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Woodland. Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.

I just wanted to add a few things, though it may be a moot point. Yes Juan Ponce De Leon, Figuero (The Explorer) Did have three daughters and one son, Luis. Though he had no children of his own he was involved with the church and took a vow of celibacy. Two of the daughters married into the Troche line but I believe decided to also keep the De Leon name in an agreement with them. The last daughter married Antonio De La Gama (Governor of Puerto Rico until 1521). I dont know if they had any children.
