Have you ever heard of Lawrence Francis Delory who migrated from Nova Socotia to Mississippi in the mid-to-late 1800s. I know nothing about this man except he's my GGrandfather and that he married Della Murray and had several girls and one son. He was Marshall of the town of Inverness, MS in about 1920s. Would like any information you might have, if you've seen this name in any of your research. My understanding is that he came to MS looking for his brother. The brother and his father (who supposeably owned a ship-building business in Nova Scotia) had apparently had a disagreement and the brother left Nova Scotia for America. We've heard that when L.F. arrived in MS, he heard that his brother had been killed in Texas, so he did not go any farther.
