My father Francis De Lorme raised in Schroon lake had 2 brothers Charles and Lee and sister Madeline.. I had a great Aunt Marion that owned the house at the bridge over the creek and her husband Eric ran the pizza shop next to it. She also was the clown at beginning of July 4th parade every year. Spent every summer up there. One of my cousins has family history. I'll contact her to see about copies.

Hello! I am a DeLarm tracing back to Malone, NY; John DeLarm (Delorme) was born in 1818 and married Marie Anne Guy. His father was Francois, listed in the Malone 1920 census, born in Quebec province 1784-1788. His wife, possibly being his second wife, was named Julie or Rosanna Poulin. Do these names mean anything to you in your background?
Thanks,
Jeanne

Hi there,

I don't if i am related to you or not. I am researching my grandmother's side. Her parents were Charles Campbell and Marie Veronique Ritchott from Leroy, North Dakota in late 1800's. Charles campbell parents were James Campbell and Isabelle Delorme. Now, Charles Campbell's godmother was Josephine Vandal at his baptism. Is this the same family as yours? If is, please contact me. I would appreciate any help.

Trisha Dumas-Mackie

I was just googling my name, (my middle name is Emile) and saw your posting. My grandfather, Emile, was from St Anicet and apparently came across the frozen St Lawrence river in the early 190o’s to start farming near Bainesville, Ontario. He was born in 1864 and died in 1933 at 69 years, 5 months old. He married Rose-Alma Sauve who died a year after him. Together, they had 18 children with one son, Dan moving to Syracuse, NY. The others stayed in Eastern Ontario or western Quebec.

I’ve always meant to go to the church in St Anicet to have a look at the cemetery and look at the church records but never got around to it. I believe most of my grandfathers siblings moved into the USA.

We may be distant relatives.

Regards,

George
I recently bought a small very clear photo identified as BABT Delorme (writing is difficult to decipher). I believe this may be Baptiste Delorme. The photo was taken by L. F. Hammer Jr. whose studio was located at 1534 South Broadway in St. Louis, MO.
His hair is parted in the middle, and he is wearing a dark suit, white shirt, and small bow tie. He has a very distinguishable cleft in his chin.
I would like to connect this picture to his family or a family researcher. Please contact me directly if you have an interest in this picture.

Kathy Wieland in St. Louis, MO
Kathy@craftsbykathy.com

DELORME FAMILY TREE

I too am researching the DeLorme Tree. I am an adopted DeLorme. I was adopted when I was 3 or 4 years old by Rene Joseph Auguste DeLorme or Joseph Auguste Rene DeLorme (not sure which was his birth name) he was born in 1899 in Canada and came to Detroit, Mich around the 1920's. His Father was Louis A. DeLorme and he married Marie L. Duquette (B: 1871 - D: 1963) and her parents were Louis Duquette and M> Jarceline Trembley. Mt step-father died in 1968 in Roseville, Mich. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I have for several years hit a great big wall when going beyond my step-father's name.
E-mail: sarge@kiski.net

Joseph & Christie Delorme of Schroon

I am looking for more info on Joseph and Christie Delorme, they both came from Canada in 1876 and they lived in Schroon Lake, NY. They had four sons, Henry, Joseph, Frank and Fred. Fred died at 20 years of age. Christie had a brother William Collins, he was my grandfather, I find nothing about him, more about her. There was an 17year difference between William (1877) and Christie (1858). There parents were Robert Collins and Adaline Quenell. If anyone has any more info on this family, please let me know. Thank You
Anne

My father had been married before and had 2 children, but I can't find out anything on that. My g-grandfather was also Theodule and he married Oudele (Allard) ? He died in 1942 at his son's (Thomas) home in Lowell, Mass. And I believe his father was Prosper Lambert. Any information would be appreciated.

DeLorme, born in Maine in 1886? His family moved back to Canada (Ontario, apparently), and then he, as a young man, returned to the U.S, settling in Aberdeen, WA.

Delorme in Vermont

I’m looking for the death records of Etienne Stephen Delorme and his wife Marie Joseph (Josette) Vigeant Delorme. They lived in Colchester, VT from about 1850 to after 1870. Etienne was born about 1785 in Canada and died between 1850 and 1870. Marie Joseph was born about 1794 in Canada and was 76 on the 1870 Colchester, VT census.
I’m also looking for information about their daughter, Aurilie, born about 1819, who married Hubert Foisy Freeman 20 OCT 1843 in Canada. They also lived in VT in the late 1840’s to 1860's time period. I have about a 40 year gap in their history that I would like to fill. Hubert died between 1901-1911 in Canada.
Thank you.
