Seeking information on a James Delvin of Utica New York, Born 1823, married Angeline Reynolds of Yates County, New York.Children: Francis M., William S., Marian, Charles S., Sarah, Elizabeth, Hanna. James d 1893 and is burried in Allegan County Michigan. I am interested in finding the parents and siblings of James. James was a lawyer. He is listed in an indes for NY state census 1845 Chautauqua Co NY Pomfret Twp pg 005. Does anyone have access to this census?

On the back of a photo my grandmother's name was Rhoda Utha "Delvin" Smith. I believe this is a surename. Our family is notorious for giving surenames in given names, like a middle name. This keeps the family history alive. They lived in the North La area, near Harrisonburg, Jena area. They are mostly buried Mt. Nebo Cemetery. If you would like to talk about this more, you can email me at katrina.elmore@amedd.army.mil I would love to exchange history. You could look it up by parishes, Catahoula Parish and LaSalle Parish. My Smith's married into the Netherland family.

Charles Delvin is listed in the Allegan County, Michigan Census 1850 at age 3 born in New York. Son of James Delvin, Manlius Township, Allegan County, Michigan. Looking for information on this family.

Searching for DELVIN decendants in Michigan, Wisconsin, CA.
Oldest Delvin I have recorded is Charles Delvin (minister) born in Michigan. Married Elizabeth Appleton in Allegan Co MI, November 7, 1882. On application for marriage his residence is listed as Manistee Michigan. He was born about 1853.
Children of Charles and Elizabeth are:
Sylvester Flint Delvin b. July 12, 1889 d.August 1967 CA
Frank Ellis Delvin b. June 1891 (my grandfather)d.July 1959 Jackson, MI
Ray Delvin wifes name was Grace she died in CA May 1968
Ruby Delvin d. 1961 married to Ray SMALL most likely in WI.
Other names in this family are. KNOPE, SMALL, THOMPSON. Do I have cousins?

Frances Delvin

Frances or Frank Delvin was born abt 1831 in
Louisiana. He moved to Ky.and married Sarah
Adams.They had a son named George H Delvin
born 1857 in Paducah,McCracken,Ky. I can not
find where Frank was born in La. or when or where he died in Ky.Any help I can get I would very thankful for.

I am seeking information on my great grandfather who lived in Minnisota around 1882 when my grandfather Frank Lewis Delvin was born in Buckman, MN. My great grandfather's name was probably William, but could have been Henry P. He probably died in MN sometime after 1882. His wife, my great grandmother, was named Cora.
