Ironically, my white 4x great-grandfather, John Frederick Deemer (DeMar) fought against my Shawnee people in the French and Indian War (1754-1763). The irony of history!
Another of my family members never won a battle against my Shawnees in this war. His name was British Col. George Washington!

He would later command the American Armies in the Revolution!

My Shawnees allowed him to live through the 1755 Braddock Battle at present-day Pittsburgh.

My Shawnees sided with the French at Fort Dusquesne at presnt-day Pittsburgh, against the British-American landgrabbers.
