i am a shawnee indian. i am trying to find my white ancestors in france and germany. my de mar family originated in france, then moved to germany (they were huegenots) and changed their name to deemer or deamer. they were here for the french and indian war. therefore, they must have arrived in america prior to 1754. my 5x great grandfather fought my shawnee ancestors in that war. he also served in the american revolution. again, he would have been fighting my native american ancestors. do you trace the de mars to france? any help would be appreciated. my 5x great grandfather is frederick deemer (de mar), born in germany.
