Interesting finding this, as I have 'Demar' ancestors from Germany.

The areas are the small villages of Steinbach, near Hadamar, Hessen-Nassau, Germany and possible links to Gottingen, near Marburg and Wetter, Hessen-Nassau. Years in question are early-mid 1700's to early 1800's.
Andreas and Johannes are prominent Demar members in Steinbach as they were both school teachers. There's also another Andreas in Steinbach who was a tailor and married Rosina Genterich from Gottingen.

I also have other related Demar families that resettled in Illinois in the 1870's.

Would be good to hear if this rings a bell with anyone else.
