He was born in Germany and his family had a Mosaic/Terrazzo company in Bamberg, Germany. They were originally from Italy (Udine, Cavasso Nuovo) area. I am named Gloria DeMichieli/Burton. My grandfather was Oswald DeMichieli (DiMichiel in Italy). His sister-in-law is living in Cavasso Nuovo at age 93 presently. I'm still researching.
I am originally from Indiana and now live in Austin, Texas. My large family resides in Indiana.

What information do you have?

Hi Chris!

I, too, am looking for information re: Oswaldo DeMichieli (my grandfather). My father is his son, Victor Joseph DeMichieli. Victor has 7 children and 18 grandchildren. Are you related to him?

I have a copy of a passport saying that Oswaldo is from Bamberg, Germany and lived in Kentucky. He was born 8-2-1906 and was killed in an auto accident in Kentucky.

My father and I plan to go to Germany and Italy and would love to find our relatives.

I have a copy of a passport issued to Oswaldo. It is #174070 and shows his address in the states as 331 E. Broadway, Louisville, Ky. Another passport of his is dated 3-22-1948 showing him as a U.S. citizen. This was mailed to him at South Bend, In. His wife, my father's mother is Marie Blackwell. She has Alzheimer's disease and has been in a nursing home for many years. They had 4 children. Oswaldo's father was Oswald DeMichieli and his mother was Irene. I am so glad to find someone looking for him! Maybe we can help one another. Did you already have this information? Do you have any other information?

I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Gloria Deaton (DeMichieli)
