Surnames: Deming, Howard
Hi. On 1855 NYS census my Asa, a widower, is living by married daughter Asenath "Annie" and husband Horace Howard in Saratoga, NY. Length of residence at Saratoga is given as 6 years. I am sure Asa's line goes back to Connecticut and earlier but can anyone give me his family background? There seem to be several Asa or Asahel Demings living in Columbia County from this early time period. Thanks.
