I have just found my great grandfather, Barnet MORRISON, and his brother John MORRISON, in the household of Thomas DEMPSTER at the time of the 1850 Census. They were in Bloom Township, Morgan County, Ohio. Also in the household was Margaret DEMPSTER who may be a sister of Barnet and John. Or, the Margaret in the next household may be their sister. The household following that of Thomas was Mary DEMPSTER, age 87, born in Virginia. In her household were Andrew, Margaret, and Richard DEMPSTER, and a one year old boy named George P. LIPTON. Is anyone researching the DEMPSTER line that can perhaps me determine if this is my Barnet MORRISON? Will be glad to share all I have on the MORRISON family.
