Hi,

My connection is with Elizabeth Glen Harris, my Great Grandmother. She may have been married to a Denard prior to marrying my Great Grandfather, Joseph Penson Harris, date unk. Their first child, William, was born in 1848. The family lived in Dulith, Gwinnette County. Moved to NE Ark after the Civil War Elizabeth is thought to have been a full blood Cherokee, buit I think maybe she was mixed.

If your research shows up any thing on Elizabeth, would like to know about it.

Jim Wallace

Hi,

Don't think I ccan help you. My connection with the Denard family is that my GReat Grandmother, Elizabeth Glen Harris wasa possibly married to a Denard, first name unknown, prior to marring my Great Grandfather, Joseph Penson Edwards, date unknown. The Edwards family lived in Duluth in Gwinnette County. Possibly lived in Walton County for a short period circa 1860. The family moved to NE Arkansas after the Civil War. Wish I could be of more help to you.

If you research shows anything on Elizabeth Glenn Harris, I would like to know. She was supposedly full blood Cherokee, but I think maybe she was mixed breed.

Jim Wallace
jdwpaw@aol.com

I am looking for a connection between John Denard b. 1764 SC(moved to Wilkes Co. GA in 1796) and his son, Wiley T. Dennard b.1811 Wilkes Co. GA. He married Martha Nash b.1812 VA.
Does anyone know of any will or probate records for John Denard in GA? Or anything that would prove their father/son relationship.
